The Supplementary Medical Professions Council is underpinned by five Boards, namely the Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT) Board, the Occupational Therapists (OT) Board, the Optometrists (OP) Board, the Physiotherapists (PT) Board and the Radiographers (RG) Board. Each of them corresponds to one of the five professions.
Under section 9 of the Supplementary Medical Professions Ordinance, the Supplementary Medical Professions Council has appointed a Registration Committee to assist in handling registration matters relating to the five professions; and a Task Force on Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Scheme to take forward the implementation of the matter in the five professions.
